Who I Am

I help people to directly face, address, and resolve difficult relationship issues that block performance. I sometimes refer to my work as “oil in the machine.” The best designed engines in the world will inevitably break down without the constant presence of oil. True leadership is the ability to consistently see and act upon the most critical changes that must occur for an organization or system to evolve and thrive. It requires an inordinate amount of courage and the ability and willingness to take bold action, inspire others, and sustain change in the long term. Genuine leadership can occur at any level in an organization and only requires that individuals commit fully to the process.

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence is the ability to stay centered, strategic, and proactive in times of high stress and ambiguity. It involves the ability to maintain a consistent balance between self-awareness, self-management, and genuine empathy for others. Emotionally intelligent leaders exude a sense of calm confidence when it matters most and help those around them to feel empowered, safe, and valued.

Conflict Resolution

One-on-one relationships form the core building blocks of effective teams. Conflict is an inevitable part of organizational life. Exceptional leaders know how to face conflict head-on and to leverage it as a means for maximizing strength and diversity in a system. Left unchecked, conflict can quickly consume a leader’s valuable time and focus.
